There are rumors swirling around that the new iPad 3, which is supposedly being released on March 7, will include 4G LTE on the AT&T and Verizon networks. Could this be the real reason that the OnLive App has been held back from the Apple App Store?
Could it be that Apple didn't feel that the OnLive App ran well enough over the current 3G connectivity that the iPad 2 provides users?
Apple has been known for trying to ensure that their product works better or at least just as well as other tablets. Perhaps they weren't pleased with OnLive's performance over their 3G tablet, when compared to the performance on other Android tablets running over LTE networks, and that's the reason for the hold up.
If in fact Apple is scheduled to announce the iPad 3 on March 7, and if it will include LTE compatibility, that would seem to be the perfect time to also release the OnLive iPad App, and also the perfect reason to hold the launch back.
