RTS APOX is Coming to OnLive

Vinnie Reddy, CEO of BlueGiant Interactive has informed OnLiveFans that the game developer is bringing their real-time strategy game, APOX to the OnLive service.

While, there is no date set yet for when we will see this game released for OnLive, Reddy said that they have already looked at the OnLive SDK to determine the amount of work needed to bring the game to the service.

Reddy also said that they are currently working on another game (Next Iteration), and hope to bring it to OnLive at the same time as APOX.

As for APOX, the game that Reddy said BlueGiant Interactive will “definitely” bring to OnLive, it is a real-time strategy game, which was released for the PC back in January of 2011. It is set in a near post-apocalyptic, Mad Max-esque universe. Here are some of the key features of the game, which Reddy said he hopes to release for OnLive over Christmas:

- FPS-like tactics including prone, taking cover, limited ammo, weapon drops
- 8 Combat Training Missions
- 100 Scrimmage Maps
- Massive games with up to 32 players
- Play against AI-controlled bots in single player or co-op mode
- Play against humans in versus mode
- Internet matchmaking lobby, clans, ratings, and stat tracking’
- Offline Skirmish mode
- Map Editor

OnLive really doesn’t have any games like this on their service as of yet. There is no word if this game will be sold individually as a PlayPass title, or if it will be included in the OnLive PlayPack. It currently sells for $14.99 on Steam.
