OnLive’s Tom DuBois to join BioWare, Bungie, and Sony at GameSpy Technology’s GDC Online Tutorial Day

This year’s Game Developers Conference Online in Austin, Texas, will feature a Building Iconic Online Games tutorial, hosted by GameSpy Technology on October 11th. This tutorial will feature representatives from around the industry including Tom DuBois, Executive Producer of OnLive.

OnLive will be speaking during the second session of the day, “Beyond the Couch – State of Online Games in 2011.” Hosted at 1:30-2:30, this session will be presented by a panel including: Bernie Yee of Bungie Aerospace, Tom DuBois of OnLive, Dallas Dickenson of BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic, Lorin Jameson of Sony Online Entertainment's DC Universe Online, and Brian Cho of Booyah. The panelists will talk about the current state of gaming and what the future holds for the industry. There will be a key focus on mobile gaming which OnLive will be at the forefront of once the iPad and Android apps launch.

The other sessions will include, “The Database is the Next Game Engine,” a discussion on, “Building Limitless Leaderboards – and More – on iOS, Android, and Beyond,” and, “Don’t Look Back – Why I Went Indie.” These segments will cover the improvements made to stats-tracking services in the Unity Engine, and will spotlight several indie studios.
