Yesterday OnLive released DiRT 3, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, The Witcher & Let’s Ride

DiRT 3, the sequel to DiRT 2, which is also available for OnLive, can now be purchased in the marketplace for $49.99. It is also a game for which OnLive members have been hoping for since it was released on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 back in May of this year.

DiRT 3 is a rally racing game from developer and publisher Codemasters, and the 3rd of the DiRT series. The game already has an OnLive user rating of 5/5, and a metascore of 86. It is available in both single and multiplayer modes, and can be played using either a keyboard and mouse combination or an OnLive gamepad. DiRT 3 has received very high ratings from the likes of IGN (8.5 rating) and GameTrailers (9.2).

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light was also added as a PlayPass title to the marketplace. It’s a game from developer Crystal Dynamics, and publisher Square Enix that has been out since August of 2010. The game is part of the Tomb Raider series, but it does not carry the Tomb Raider brand. This game is available in both single and multiplayer modes. When playing multiplayer, gamers take the character of either Lara Croft herself, or Totec, a 2000 year-old Mayan warrior. The multiplayer emphasizes cooperative gameplay, as Totec and Lara Croft work together to find the Mirror of Smoke, and stop an evil spirit named Xolotl. The game is very entertaining, and it has an entirely different feel to it, when compared to other Tomb Raider games. This game is available for only $14.99, but for this week and this week only, gamers can take 50% off this price during the ‘Square Enix’ sale. That brings the total down to only $7.49. PlayPack members also get an additional 30% off this price making it only $5.25.

OK, maybe it's not The Witcher 2, but The Witcher Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut made it into the OnLive PlayPack to the surprise and excitement of many OnLive members. The role-playing game, developed by CD Projekt RED Studio, was released in 2007, while the enhanced edition was released in 2008. It is a single player Action RPG, that is based on the book series by Andrzej Sapkowski. Gamers follow the story of ‘Geralt of Rivia’, who is one of only a few living “witchers” that remain. If you are wondering what a “witcher” is, it is a monster hunter that possesses unnatural powers. This game currently works only with a keyboard and mouse combination, but it still remains a possibility that we will see OnLive gamepad support in the future.

For those gamers still waiting for The Witcher 2 for OnLive, don’t worry, it’s coming.

Let’s Ride! Silver Buckle Stables is not an AAA title by any means. However, it is a lot of fun to play. It’s a game from THQ and developed by Coresoft. The game is targeted mostly to younger women, as it incorporates caring for your virtual horses. The game has been out for the PC since 2007, it works with a keyboard and mouse combination. ‘Let’s Ride’ is a single player game, that can be quite addicting.
