Onlive Online Gaming with a $150 Netbook using WiFi : Consoles? We Don’t Need No Stinking Consoles!

OnLive has definitely put up a lot of work towards improving the efficiency of their PC client.

In this video GrowingUpOtaku first tries to stream some HD videos of Split/Second, Red Faction: Guerilla and Metro 2033, on a 4 year old Asus Eee-PC 900 netbook. This experiment clearly goes wrong.

Then they fire up the latest OnLive client version and play the same games on OnLive using WiFi in HD. The games run nearly smooth.

Their conclusion is that using a $150 netbook on WiFi, we can play games better with OnLive than we can watch them online.

This video is really a great advertisement for OnLive.
